Is C.A.R.E. part of the English Montreal School Board?
Yes, we have a partnership with the EMSB. Many of our clients are also registered as adult education students in the SIS (Social Integration Services) program that takes place at Wagar Adult Education Centre.

Is there a waiting list to get into C.A.R.E.?
Yes, but please contact us! Putting your name on the list will help us to determine the need in our community.

Does C.A.R.E. provide therapy services?
No, We do not have any registered therapists at C.A.R.E. Our programs are animated and facilitated by caregivers and recreation facilitators.

What services do you provide?
We offer an activity day program that offers 10 activity options per day, we offer a community inclusion outings program that allows our clients to go out in the community several times per month and we offer respite to our clients during the winter and summer seasons.

Are there fees/costs?
There is an annual registration fee of 300$ to attend the day program (September through June).
Camps are an additional cost.
Outings are an additional cost.

Where does your funding come from?
Foundations, individual donors, corporations, fundraising events, partnerships, grants, the Quebec Government, and the English Montreal School Board.

What is your staff to client ratio?
Approximately 1:2. We maintain a ratio of one staff member to every two clients.

Is the day program year round?
No, Throughout the school year (September - June) we run a 5-day-a-week day program that includes regular community outings but follows the school calendar. In July, when the regular day program is closed, we offer a daily community outings program and in August we offer a summer camp experience.

Does C.A.R.E. provide transportation?
No, we do not offer transportation. Clients must use the adapted transportation system. (ex: STM transport adapté, STL paratransit service, etc.)

Can I donate my used car to benefit C.A.R.E.?
Yes, Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for the C.A.R.E Centre. You can donate your vehicle to the C.A.R.E Centre to raise funds for us. Click here to find out more.
